Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are the wedding license requirements to be married in Curacao?
A: In order to get legally married in Curacao you would need to send requested paperwork and original documents 2 months prior to the wedding date. Steps and procedures are outlined in the legal process document.
Q: When should I arrive on the island?
A: We recommend arriving at least three business days prior to your wedding to allow time to get your marriage license and to meet with your wedding specialist. If you choose not to get legally married here you can arrive one day before.
Q: How far in advance should I begin planning?
A: We are happy to begin planning with you at any time; we recommend at least two to three months before you arrive on island.
Q: What is the weather like?
A: The temperature ranges from 80 to 90 degrees all year round. It does tend to rain more in the winter months of October through February.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: For all events that are booked outside, we hold proper backup space in the case of inclement weather. If the weather forecast calls for 40% chance of rain or higher, extreme temperature, or lightning, the party will automatically be moved inside to ensure the safety of your wedding guests and our staff.
Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Only buffet style meals can be served at an outside dinner reception. Entertainment / amplified noise must be off by 10:00 pm for outdoor functions due to the noise ordinance.
Q: It's just the two of us; do I still need a package? We can create a special intimate package for both of you. Q: If I take items out of the package, will the price go down?
A: We cannot change the price of the package, but we can substitute items you don’t want with items you want.
